There can be 80-100 tweets per day and if I include Stoxx it could be double that. I’ve looked into batching the signals together but it would introduce a delay and for that reason I prefer to send them as soon as I detect them. For this reason I highly recommend creating a separate Twitter account just for the signals. This way they won’t interfere with your other use of Twitter.
Tweetdeck will allow you to configure a pop-up for tweets as well as an audio alert. This means you can minimize Tweetdeck and it won’t take up any screen space, and signals will be shown in pop-ups that automatically disappear after a few seconds. I’m not familiar with tools other than Tweetdeck but I imagine many others have similar capabilities.
The signals are tweeted from a private Twitter account. Here’s how to get access:
- Create a new Twitter account for the signals (if desired).
- Go to this page.
- Click on the “Follow” button to send me a request which I will approve.
- Please allow up to 24 hours for me to approve your request in case I’m away from the computer.
